Concord Coach Lines

Super convenient to take the Amtrak train from PHL to BOS, then walk over 5 minutes to catch the bus to Portland, Maine. The Concord Coach Lines bus was ticketed in conjunction with the Amtrak train so the timing was perfect.

God, I hate driving in traffic, and it was just so nice to sit back and relax during the 2 hour drive. Wifi was OK on the way up, not so much on the way down. Glad I brought a jacket as the AC was on full blast. They showed a movie each way, so bring headphones if you want to watch year old movies on the small TV screen above.

Nice buses, nice drivers, nice passengers, but the bus was 45 minutes late because it had traffic problems getting out of the airport coming to pick us up at South Station, and I called customer service three times, and spoke to the ticket counter three times, and no one could ever give any sort of an estimate as to when it might arrive. Not even a wild guess. Don't their buses have GPS trackers? Aren't they in touch with the drivers to find out what's going on? Why would they not communicate that to their passengers.

I've taken the Concord Coach bus from Logan airport to Concord on several occasions. I would prefer to fly in to and out of Manchester, but Logan has many more flight options.
The bus ride to Concord is dependable and comfortable. The bus has many trips per day, and arrives on schedule. It is clean and has good (free!) wifi. The drivers I've had have always been professional, courteous and friendly.
I highly recommend Concord Coach.

I took Concord Coach Lines this past weekend from South Station to Littleton, N.H. It was a very good trip. Clean bus, comfortable ride and a very pleasant driver named Leo. I also had him as my return driver on Sunday. I look forward to getting back to Littleton again, and I will use Concord Coach Lines again. Thank you.

These people are so crazy!! I can see wearing a mask inside as it is required but wearing a mask OUTSIDE!!!!!! My son and I got yelled at by the bus driver while OUTSIDE and saying goodbye to my husband who's in the military and will be gone for A YEAR!!! We're all crying and the bus driver is like, "Please put your mask on!!!!" No one else was around us and we were WAY more than 6 ft from the bus driver and the bus!!!! Concord Coach Lines really good at taking mandates a bit too far where common sense and decency don't exist at all!

How do I review a bus company? Pricing, comfortability/amenities, customer service, and promptness.
I bought tickets to Portland, Maine weeks in advance through the Megabus website. It was a total of $4 roundtrip for 2 hr ride! What a steal! I chose the bus rather than the train because it was about the same amount of time to get there, 2 hrs. So, by researching, I saved over $20. (5/5) However, I knew that if there was a bus problem/traffic or if I had an appointment then I'd be screwed. Luckily, I didn't make urgent plans to be somewhere.
The bus check in was fairly easy as I just showed my confirmation number. The bus drivers left on time or a few minutes after the ETA due to late comers and luggage loading. (4/5) The bus does have outlets to charge phones and tablets. However, their internet is best spotty.(3/5) The trip was completely silent as the bus driver said that was important for showing respect to all other passengers. I'd take concord again if I was in no rush to be somewhere.

Literally got cuts on my hand from the bus. Asked the bus driver for a bandaid and some sort of disinfectant and they dont have any. No apology for 1. Getting hurt in the first place or 2. Bot having an adequate first aid kit on board. Luckily another passenger had a bandaid and hand sanitizer. Will never ever use this bus service again.

Oh and I might add we are running 40 minutes behind schedule.

Concord Coach Lines is an example of how to run a good bus service. The staff is helpful and friendly and loads your luggage under the bus for you. Their buses always leave on time. The buses are new and comfortable. The overhead storage space is large enough to fit most things you'd want to bring on board. They show movies on all trips, and multiple movies on longer trips. They offer free pretzels and water, and their stations have free coffee for the earlier part of the day.

When the weather is bad they rarely cancel the bus, they go anyway and it just takes a bit longer to get there. I have taken buses in blizzards and the bus still got there.

I wish they went more places, because I would rather take them than other bus lines in the area.

Only one caution: If you are taking an early bus from South Station, you might want to buy your tickets in advance. They open the counter only a very short time before the first bus of the day leaves, and it is stressful to be waiting on that line when you should be on line to board the bus.

Concord Coach is a great example of an intercity bus company done right. Their drivers are excellent, clean buses, efficient and reliable service from Portland to Boston South Station (and Logan). Can't wait to try their NYC bus.

I took their Boston Express bus from Boston to Salem, NH today. The service was excellent! On time, reasonably priced, clean busses, and nice drivers.
