Since the day we opened the Hús, which also happened to be exactly when the pandemic arrived, it has been a goal of ours to build a Soft Landing Program that helps international startups and businesses enter the North American market through Maine. Our CEO Patrick Arnold is in Iceland for Iceland Innovation Week with friends at the Iceland Ocean Cluster and Business Iceland building new connections to do just that.

The Maine Coast Fishermen's Association is having an important panel session at one of our favorite places in the world, The Maine Oyster Company's home in Phippsburg known as "Basecamp." We hope to see a few of you there! Details 👇 Date: May 23, 2024 @ 5:30PM — 7:00PM  Location: Maine Oyster Company Basecamp: 47 Wallace Cir Phippsburg, ME 04562  "Join us for an informal conversational panel moderated by MCFA's Director of Community Programs, Monique Coombs, with space for questions and discussion from participants. The conversation will explore the hidden working waterfronts that often go unnoticed along the coast of Maine, particularly those in Phippsburg and Georgetown, and their significance to the waterfront economy and heritage of this area. Panelists will include those involved in shellfish harvesting, oyster farming, commercial fishing, and management of coastal resources. The event is free, but registration is required."
