Today we wish Kate Vickery all the best as she begins her new adventure with Make-A-Wish America! 🌟 For over 19 years, Kate has been making a difference for Maine’s wish kids and we are thrilled that she will be continuing to further our mission on a national level. Thank you for your dedicated service and we are so happy to keep you in the Make-A-Wish family, Kate! Here at the Maine office, we are grateful to have Sonya Purington acting as our Interim President & CEO. With more than eight years of experience at Make-A-Wish Maine, there is no one better to lead us through this transition with a steady hand and a fierce dedication to our mission!

Our thanks to Freeport High School for their annual Fit for Charity Walk led by the JMG & Student Council students. They raised $5,569 to make a difference in the lives of Maine kids battling critical illnesses. 🌟 Incredible! #ThankfulThursday

This #InternationalDinosaurDay we celebrate wish kid Connor who had a rawr-some time on his dino-themed wish! 🦖 Connor’s wish day began with some time spent with a real paleontologist who took him on a tour of where she works and showed him some really cool bones and footprints. Next he was off to a giant dig site that needed his help! Geared up with his paleontologist hat, binoculars and vest, Connor set off with his family to get to work digging! After digging up lots of prizes, he received a trophy for his “REXcellent Work.” Then it was time to go home to see his wish: a new dinosaur-themed playset!
