Did you know Atlantic Sea Farms has a booth at the Performance Food Group Culinary Expo next week? In the words of our food service sales manager, Alissa Brockman: "We are so excited to be at the PFG show, showcasing the versatility of our domestically-farmed kelp. This natural umami booster has been one of my favorite ingredients to work with, and I love sharing how easy our products are to incorporate into menus and dishes. Plus, you have the added benefits of using one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet." We hope to see you there – stop by our booth on May 14th 👋

A woman-run, mission-driven seaweed farming company dedicated to making a powerful and positive impact.
About us
Good food should do good. Atlantic Sea Farms is a woman-run, mission-driven seaweed farming company. We are dedicated to making a powerful and positive impact on the health of our customers, our coastal communities, and our planet by creating delicious products made from regeneratively farmed sea greens. Our founders created the first commercially viable seaweed farm in the United States in 2009, with the goal of diversifying how our coastal waters are used and providing a domestic, fresh, healthy alternative to imported seaweed products. Now, more than ever, we need food sources that can positively impact the economic and environmental health of our coastal communities. Here in Maine, climate change is already making landfall, and our future depends on finding new ways for lobster fishermen to work on the water while improving the health of our oceans. Read more about our social mission to work with coastal fishermen, and meet some of our partner farmers by visiting our website.

Happy Earth Day everyone! The Atlantic Sea Farms kelp harvest season coincides every year with Earth Month – always seems fitting to us 🌍 Farmed seaweed is one of the most climate-friendly foods on the planet. Maine's fishing families have long understood the importance of being good stewards of the oceans, and kelp farming provides a new opportunity to feed people and improve coastal livelihoods, all while taking care of the waters they have worked on for generations. Today, and always, we're proud to be working towards a more regenerative food future through sustainable seaweed aquaculture. Happy harvest season! #earthday #regenerativefood #sustainablefarming #regnerativefarming #kelp #aquaculture #seaweed #climatechange #foodsystem #sustainablefood #earthmonth

You know what makes a perfect martini? Umami-rich #kelp distilled with garlic, peppercorn, and dill in this new Dogfish Head craft vodka, Siren's Kiss! We know this firsthand, because we were making (and sippin’) delicious savory cocktails with the Dogfish Head team at a super fun launch event at their Delaware brewery this past weekend. Working as an ingredient partner with experts like the Dogfish Head distillers shows us the versatility of kelp and the incredible flavors our traceable farmed seaweed can impart into so many products. Plus, every sip supports our coastal communities and our oceans –we'll cheers to that 🍸 Thanks to both Dogfish and The Boston Beer Company for this collaboration.
