Members of the MedRhythms Therapy Team, Vanessa Moran and Isabelle Lu, presented at BIACT this past week speaking to a variety of rehab disciplines on Neurologic Music Therapy in neurorehababilitation across the continuum of care.

“Stroke can significantly impact a person’s ability to walk, putting them at greater risk for falls, other health conditions and poorer quality of life,” said Paolo Bonato, PhD, director of the Motion Analysis Lab at Spaulding Rehabilitation. “Our trial shows that an intervention applying algorithmically-controlled music as a rhythmic stimulus improves walking and ambulation by inciting and harnessing the unconscious synchronization of the auditory and motor systems.” Read the study published in Nature Communications to learn more: https://buff.ly/49uy9ir

Because of today’s announcement detailing the cumulative body of evidence supporting the clinical efficacy and usability of InTandem™, I am reflecting on the MedRhythms’ mission: to redefine what is possible in brain health. I am so proud of the MedRhythms team and all we’ve accomplished – and I’m forever grateful to our collaborators, including the researchers, institutions, and, of course, study participants. Together, we have made this mission a reality. But, our work is not done.
